Congratulations to EWG Band Member Morgan Beck on her acceptance to the 2020 John Philip Sousa National Honors Band! Morgan is an accomplished percussionist, and she auditioned for this group in late 2019. Morgan will perform on June 27 in Worcester's Mechanic's Hall under the baton of Michael J. Colburn. Maestro Colburn is the former conductor of the President's Marine Band, and is currently the Director of Bands at Butler University in Indiana.
Morgan is a Sophomore member of our EWG band, auditions for RI All State yearly (has placed first in the state on more than one occasion, and on more than one instrument), and has been taking private percussion lessons for 4 years.
